My thesis, titled “Advancing Social Justice in Code Club Education: Exploring Participation, Pedagogy, and Computer Science Capital,” can be accessed here. The defense was held on Friday, the 13th of June 2025. I now work for Western Norway Research Institute in the beautiful town of Sogndal, Norway.
Latest news: Finally, after a long year of waiting, the last paper from my doctoral studies was published in the Journal of Computer Science Education. I am so proud of this work. My deepest gratitude goes to the practitioners we interviewed for taking the time to talk with us about their experiences. I would also like to thank my co-authors Tomislav Jagust and Joelyn de Lima. You complemented each other well and strengthened our research team. I hope we can collaborate more in the future. Thank you also to the reviewers for their constructive comments, which helped improve the paper.
Below is a summary of the paper I created to make the article’s content more accessible. I understand that not everybody has the time or opportunity to read 31 pages. The full paper (open access) is available here.
